To gain a better understanding of how people communicate using Microsoft Office, and where this journey is headed, we conducted the first ever survey on this topic in 2017. We’re currently analyzing the results, but can already reveal that the data had a few surprises in store, even for us with our daily insights into so many companies.
For example, two out of three external meetings, and every other internal meeting is indeed accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation. And although everyone is talking about digitalization, the opportunities it offers regarding PowerPoint are not being exploited at all. Or the fact that an huge number of people spend a relatively large proportion of their working hours on PowerPoint, but there is nevertheless an astounding lack of responsibility and organization governing the use of PowerPoint in companies.
